Our Editorial Standards

HostGalore maintains strict editorial independence. Our reviews and recommendations are based solely on our testing and analysis, never on financial relationships with hosting providers.

Review Process

1. Account Setup: We purchase hosting plans with our own money or use provided test accounts.
2. Testing Period: Each provider is tested for a minimum of three months.
3. Performance Monitoring: We use independent tools to monitor uptime and page load speeds.
4. Support Testing: We contact support multiple times across different channels to evaluate response quality.
5. Feature Evaluation: We test key features including backups, SSL, control panels, and migration tools.
6. Scoring: Each provider is scored across five categories: Performance, Reliability, Support, Value, and Ease of Use.

Scoring Methodology

Scores range from 1.0 to 5.0 and are based on objective testing and subjective evaluation:

• 5.0: Exceptional — best in class
• 4.0-4.9: Excellent — strongly recommended
• 3.0-3.9: Good — solid with some limitations
• 2.0-2.9: Below average — notable weaknesses
• 1.0-1.9: Poor — not recommended

Corrections and Updates

If we make an error, we correct it promptly and transparently. Reviews are updated periodically to reflect changes in pricing, features, and performance. The "Last Tested" date on each review indicates when our most recent testing was conducted.

Independence

Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content. A hosting provider paying higher commissions will never receive a higher rating as a result.
